Our Story

Light of Mine was created in 2021 as a way to help solve complex public health issues by addressing the root of the problem. We're not here to re-invent the wheel, but to hone in on what's missing, fill the gaps, and break down the revolving problems of our society.

We support health care entities, community-based organizations, and agencies by supplementing resources intended to reduce disparities and target social determinants of health.

Light of Mine strives to push limits and challenge the status quo. It is our hope that people experience true change and feel a genuine sense of relief after an encounter with us.

Mission

Light of Mine partners with organizations to provide solutions that directly address gaps in health care and social services.

Vision

To make the world's major disparities minor issues.

Partnership, Ingenuity & Innovation

These 3 factors guide our mission and influence our purpose. Our partnerships increase the capacity to support local communities and deliver key services using innovative strategies & technology. Resourcefulness and creativity are key to expanding our reach and bridging the gap.

Our Purpose

Light of Mine was founded by a public health professional motivated by her experiences working in nonprofits and healthcare. In her various roles, she realized that it wasn't always a shortage of resources, but rather a limited capacity to connect them to people in need.

There are dozens of initiatives, community support services, and health benefits available, but our communities still have significant needs that are going unmet and individuals continue to fall through the holes of safety nets.

Our purpose is not only to extend access to meet those needs, but create access when required. We're here to fill the gap and connect the dots.
